This year Philly artists have a great showing at Blip. The visuals in general have been amazing and everyone has kicked it up a notch. NO CARRIER and VBLANK had some absolutely awesome visuals (I think heads will explode when VBLANK adds a D chip on his breadboards – he’s up to C now and it’s already getting pretty crazy out there). NO CARRIER came out with some new color palettes and old school wave effects to wow the audience – the minusbaby set just wouldn’t have been the same without his and Paris’ visuals. This year Cheap Dinosaurs brought his broken rhythms to Blip and the audience just loved it. To complete the Philly wave Animalstyle brought out his cool melodies and made the audience want it cranked up to 11. All in all pretty exciting stuff from the Philly scene with more to come.
